WELCOME TO THE NEW ZEALAND KENNEL CLUB 2010 EUKANUBA NATIONAL DOG SHOW

We thank you for your entry and trust that you have a most enjoyable time.

RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR and ALCOHOL: All people are asked to observe a high standard of behaviour at Manfeild Park; to act courteously to others; and to follow the reasonable instructions of the event officials. People over 18 are welcome to consume your own beer or wine within reason. NZKC reserves the right to exclude from the show any person/s in breach.

AGILITY VENUE: Manfeild Stadium - All weather arena.

AGILITY INTERCLUB TEAMS COMPETITION: A maximum of two teams may be entered from each club. A team consists of three dogs and three handlers. See rules printed elsewhere in this Gazette. Entries taken on the day.

ALLOCATION OF JUDGES AND SCHEDULING: The Eukanuba New Zealand Kennel Club National Dog Show Committee reserves the right to reallocate judges, tests and classes and alter the scheduled order of judging should circumstances require. This may include changing the day of judging. Any changes will be notified.

BABY PUPPY REGISTRATION APPLIED FOR: To enter under this regulation a full registration application must be lodged with New Zealand Kennel Club at the date of submitting the entry.

CARMELE CINDY TROPHY (Obedience Teams Competition): Any obedience club recognised or associated under New Zealand Kennel Club Rules can compete. See rules printed elsewhere in this magazine.

CAR PARKING: Carparking will be available. Full details will published at a later date.

CAMPERVANS AND CAMPSITES: Please refer to NZKC website for booking details.

CATALOGUES: Full catalogues $17.50. Individual Group, Obedience & Agility $6.00 each. Please use catalogue order form. The website will list the catalogue numbers of the dogs in the breeds only prior to the show and will not list any further details.

CATERING: Full Catering will be available. Full details will published at a later date.

CRUFTS: This show is a qualifying show for the 2011 Crufts Dog Show. The winner of Junior Dog, Junior Bitch, Best Dog and Best Bitch are eligible for a Crufts qualifying certificate on application.

DESEXED DOGS: Spayed bitches and neutered dogs can enter a stake class but cannot enter breed classes at this Championship Show. The letter ‘D’ must be placed after the dog’s number on the entry form. New Zealand Kennel Club registry records must be endorsed ‘de-sexed’. There are no restrictions on desexed dogs entering obedience, agility and working trials.

ENTRIES: Entries must be either made online at www.nzkc.org.nz or on the NEW National Dog Show Official Entry Form ONLY. The new entry form is available online or you can contact the office and we will send them out to you. The forms are FREE. These forms are only to be used for this National Dog Show and no other shows. You can use this form to enter the same dog in one or several events.

EXHIBITOR PASSES: Will be sent with entry.

GROOMING AREAS All grooming areas have power. Cost for 1 grooming site (2msq) is $25.00 per day. There is limited free grooming areas available.

MOBILITY PARKING FOR EXHIBITORS: There will be a limited number of mobility car parks for exhibitors located close to the exhibitors entrance. If you require one of these you must apply for a pass with your entries. In addition you will be required to display a current Mobility Card at all times in the same name as the application.

PAWS 'N' MUSIC COMPETITION: Saturday 2nd October 2010 - 7pm - 8.30pm. Classes: Elementary, Pair/group, Starters, Open. Categories: Heelwork to Music and Freestyle. Entries $8. Sashes and prizes to 3rd place. Top junior award (16 yrs & under). Carly Trophy for top overall points in Starters and Open competition.

STAKES CLASSES: Exhibits entered in a breed class at the National Dog Show may be entered in a stakes class for which they are qualified. Neutered and spayed dogs may be entered in any stakes class for which they are qualified but are not eligible to be entered in a breed class. Dogs over the age of seven years may be entered in a stakes class for which they are qualified without needing to be entered in a breed class. The classes are: Puppy Stakes, all breeds of puppies aged 3 - 12 calendar months on the first day of the show; NZ Bred Stakes, all breeds of NZ bred dogs aged 6 months and over.

TEMPORARY PERMISSION TO SHOW IMPORTED DOG: A full pedigree including name and number must be at New Zealand Kennel Club by 3 August 2010 or the entry will be returned.

TROPHIES: Ribbons/Cups/prizes in most categories.

TROLLEYS: No trolleys/cages by rings for either show at any time.

WORLD CHALLENGE: The presentation will take place at the Eukanuba National Dog Show.

WORKING TRIALS: UD - Wednesday 29 September 2010. Judge: Susan Sheppard. Venue just outside Feilding. Presentation Wednesday afternoon.
