Change of judge: Stakes Classes
New Zealand Kennel Club announces with regret that for personal reasons Mr Frank Lister is unable to complete the appointment to judge stakes classes at the Eukanuba 2009 NZKC National Dog Show.
Mr John Green of Invercargill has been appointed to judge stakes classes. He has been involved in breeding and exhibiting dogs since 1976. (Provisions of Show Regulations apply.)
Whilst best known for his success with his Beagles, John has also been actively involved in the Terrier group through exhibiting Fox Terriers and handling a number of different breeds for others. Initially focusing on exhibiting, John has made up two NZ Grand Champions and campaigned seven different dogs to multiple Allbreeds BIS wins. Four of these were homebred under his 'Jest' prefix. His NZ Grand Ch Merrybrook Jamie Luck twice won the Hound group at the NZKC National Show and a Jest beagle has won the Hound Group at the prestigious Melbourne Royal Show.
John judged his first Championship Show in 1988. He has judged throughout New Zealand and in four states of Australia where he has judged breed and group specialties as well as at Allbreeds Shows. John judged his first FCI show at Lahti, Finland in 2004 and in 2008 he judged the Danish Beagle Club's Very Special Show.
John has been actively involved in Club Administration and Judges Training and spent four years as an elected member of the New Zealand Kennel Club's governing Executive Council.
While currently taking a break from exhibiting, John remains actively involved in his local club and currently holds the position of Chairman of the New Zealand Kennel Club Constitution Committee.

This year we will be hosting the National Dog Show web site on Telstraclear servers with unlimited bandwidth which should avoid any of the issues we saw last year.
Agility : The Agility Triple show will now be held on Monday 5th October and Tuesday 6th October inside at the Manfeild Park Venue
